It shouldn’t come as a surprise if we say that many idols are doing more than going on stage to dance and sing. Of course, they have their behind-the-scenes activities, like producing albums and doing a photo shoot for their photo book, but some of them have other activities and schedules, outside of group activities. Some idols have drama recordings, you might have encountered some of them while watching a completely unrelated drama, but there are other miscellaneous agendas that idols dedicate their time to as well. And it’s nothing more than a radio show, you might as well call it a podcast for some of them.
In fact, most fans are not familiar with Korean radio shows, even though many of them are hosted by K-Pop idols. There are various types of radio shows, some made to interview other groups and get some behind the scenes anecdotes, others to simply relax and hang out together, by scrolling through this list you may find a radio show that is just made for you. 1. “Radio Idol”

“idol radio” is a radio program produced by MBC and currently hosted by ATEEZ’s HongJoong and YunHo. It often hosts special DJs during these days, idols – who are different from the regular host – will host the program once or twice. This radio program is aired everyday Monday and Wednesday night at 20:00 KST, you can watch it on MBC website. Most of the time, “Idol Radio” has groups that are promoting a new album as guests, and the program is made to present your new content. The guests also play various types of games. This is a great radio show for those who like K-Pop TV shows, where the groups play tons of games and just have fun.
2. “Moon Night Studio”

This show is hosted by MAMAMOO’s MoonByul on Naver Now every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night at 21:00 KST. You can watch it on Naver Now. About “Studio Night of the Moon” also, you can find games and idol TMIs, but they also do a lot of reactions and comments on various contents. Instead of groups, MoonByul is hosting individual idols or members of a group, but not the whole group. This radio show tends to to be closer to a podcast than others.
3. “It’s a Dream”

This show is hosted by DKZ’s JaeChan and can be seen on Naver Now every Thursday at 9 PM KST as well. JaeChan is hosting individual idols and groups on his radio show. This show is made for you if you like interactions, weird games and anecdotes. This radio show is pretty laid-back overall and the host and guests play together, but it’s also a great occasion to hear about some behind-the-scenes moments shared by the groups themselves. 4. “PENTAGON Night Radio”

This concert is held from Monday to Saturday by PENTAGON’s ShinWon, you can watch it on the official YouTube channel. This show is about music criticism and talks about K-Pop songs, so if you like this kind of podcast, don’t hesitate and join the next live! Also, it’s a great occasion to spend some time with a PENTAGON member and their guests. 5. “Show Daebak”

You can watch this podcast on Spotify or YouTube! A new episode is out every Monday, and now you can look forward to it again! This podcast is hosted in English from time to time, and it’s very relaxed, friendly, and sure a lot of fun too.
6. “GOSSIP IDLE – MiYeon’s Diary” Season 2

This Naver Now radio show is hosted by the lovely MiYeon of (G)I-DLE, so if you’re a fan of (G)I-DLE, make sure you don’t miss this show! It airs every Wednesday at 11:00 am KST and every Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 pm KST on Naver Now. As indicated in the title of the podcast, this show is all about gossip and hot topics in the K-Pop industry, so if you’re interested in those conversations, hurry up and watch this radio show! And of course, MiYeon gets a lot of guests on her radio show too, they can be idols or even music producers and other professionals.
7. “HyunJae’s Gift”

This show airs every Thursday at 9 PM KST, also on Naver Now, and is hosted by THE BOYZ ‘HyunJae! This show is the perfect place if you want to relax and listen to HyunJae’s stories for a long time. In fact, on this radio show, HyunJae shares tons of fun stories and conversations with the guests he hosts! You can definitely look forward to this show for cute interactions between groups of younger generations as well, and get ready to be entertained!
8. “Thumbs Up”

If you are not familiar with the artist Work, here’s the best way to get to know her. Her radio show airs on Naver Now every Tuesday at 9 pm KST. Aiki is hosting guests on her radio show and makes sure everyone stays in shape by doing lots of dance games and challenges. There is also a lot of conversation related to dancing as it is her main interest, but they mostly practice dancing in their show! If you don’t want to miss out on the latest dances and challenges from the K-Pop world, this show should be your weekly date!
9. “Play!”

There have been many radio programs hosted by MONSTA X members so far, but here’s another one! Hosted by MONSTA X’s KiHyun, you can watch this radio show on Naver Now every Monday at 8 PM KST. If you’re looking for something that isn’t too constant, this show might be right for you! Kihyun takes turns each week to talk about everyday life and perform with other idols. Those two sides of the show are ‘Talk’ and ‘Music’. If you like having multiple topics and styles in one show, you should definitely check out this radio show!
