It has become common to find a non-Korean member in K-Pop groups these days. As K-Pop becomes a global phenomenon, more and more idols from different countries are debuting. One of the countries with the most debuting non-Korean K-Pop idols is none other than Japan.
Let’s take a look at some of the Japanese K-Pop idols who have debuted so far.

Sana, Momo, and Mina made their debut as TWICE members in 2015. In 2023, the trio made their debut in Japan as TWICE’s first subunit group called MISAMO.
Haruto, Yoshi and Asahi made their debut as members of TREASURE in 2020.
Mashiho also made his debut as a member of TREASURE in 2020. In 2022, it was announced that he had left the group.
Nako and Hitomi debuted as members of IZ*ONE in 2018. After the project group’s disbandment and since then, both have continued with their initial Japanese groups AKB48 and HKT48.
Former IZ*ONE member Sakura made her re-debut and Kazuha made their debut as members of the girl group LE SSERAFIM in 2022.
Ni-Ki debuted as a member of ENHYPEN in 2020.
Yuto debuted as a member of PENTAGON in 2016.
Yuta debuted as a member of NCT in 2016. Shotaro joined NCT in 2020.
Rei debuted as a member of IVE in 2021.
Hikaru and Mashiro debuted as members of Kep1er in 2022.
Tsuki and Haruna debuted as members of Billlie in 2021.
Zero, Kairi, Kio, and Leo made their debut as TFN members in 2021.
Keita made his debut as a member of Ciipher in 2021.
Yuku made his debut as a member of DKB in 2020.
LÉA debuted as a member of SECRET NUMBER in 2020.

Kaede was revealed as the 9th member of tripleS in November 2022. Kotone was revealed as the 11th member of the group in January 2023. tripleS made their debut in February 2023 and is continuously adding more members (until they have 24).
