The cult classic Korean film “Guns And Talks” is getting a K-Drama adaptation directed by Netflix, and moviegoers around the world are overjoyed!
For those who don’t know, “Guns And Talks” is a 2001 South Korean action comedy film directed by Jang Jin. The film follows the story of a group of four gunslingers – all highly skilled at their jobs, but not very smart. They are not motivated by some great evil or noble purpose, but simply run a private business where anyone can order, including students who even receive a discount!
Our main cast consists of SangYeon (played by Shin Hyun Joon) – the unflappable leader of the group and the mastermind behind their operations, JungWoo (played by Shin HaKyun) – Explosives expert JaeYeong (played by Jung Jae Young) – the shooter, and HaYeon (played by box won) – O maknae and computer genius. Things tend to go according to plan, or more precisely, according to the contract they sign with their clients detailing the time, place and method of the murder, but when they accidentally leave a trail of a case, curiosity is piqued. hot-headed DA Jo (played by Jung Jin Young). The group begins to question their morality and decides to take a hiatus, only to find themselves bogged down in their most dangerous and risky mission – assassinating a politician in the middle of a sold-out show of “Hamlet”. ” by Shakespeare. This is an offer they simply cannot refuse, but it is almost too late before they realize the gravity of the situation.
Film “Guns and Talks”
The film is loved for its wonderful blending of genres, as you get attached to a bunch of simple-minded killers, and their antics will have you rolling in laughter, but at the same time, the action is riveting to say the least. There’s not much to intellectualize here – just pure entertainment at your service and we definitely need a little bit of that in our lives.
Now, if it isn’t evident enough, “Guns And Talks” starred a stellar cast of A-list actors and became an immense sensation upon its release. Critical praise for awards and commercial success – this movie had it all. Therefore, it is very important that Netflix is planning a K-Drama remake of it. We can already predict that some big names and talented actors will be starring in this drama to match the popularity of the original, and we can’t wait for more details to emerge.
