The weekend has passed in the blink of an eye and a new week is already upon us. The first day of the week can be one of the hardest to get through. Sometimes even our favorite K-Pop idol fancam can’t help us on a Monday morning. But through K-Variety Round Up, we hope to provide the perfect serotonin boost to help ease the Monday blues!

Through this series, we focus on little happenings from various Korean variety shows that you might have missed over the past week/weekend. These clips may appear on social media feeds, but absolutely everything can be difficult to watch while also catering to our busy schedules.

But that’s why Kpopmap is here to bring the most exciting and fun clips to the palm of your hand! Now, take a look below for a little dose of happiness on this dreary Monday.

1. Workout motivation with “Jinny’s Kitchen”

We know how difficult it can be to get a little workout in the gym in the morning, especially on Mondays. But what if we told you that you are not alone? You can have not one, but three training partners on tvN’s roster.”jinny’s kitchen“.

In this clip, Park SeoJun, Choi Woo ShikIt is V from BTS do a morning workout to start your day off right. They range from group stretches to jumping jacks. They eventually take it a step further by kayaking, jogging, or biking. Even in a foreign country, they take care of their health and have fun doing it! Working out isn’t so bad with a few Hallyu stars by your side.

2. Girl group flashback

Whenever a K-Pop group disbands, they remain in fans’ hearts for years to come. However, these days there seems to be a gradual increase in older groups returning to mini-meetings. This week JTBC’s”knowledgeable brothers” made K-Pop fans rejoice (with laughter) as they brought legendary girl groups to the show.

The variety show invited an original member of the iconic groups of wonder girls, SESIt is Crayon Pop. Then the cast of “Knowing Bros”, dressed in women’s clothing, filled in the blanks for each group. The replacement members of these legendary girl groups were hilarious from their introduction to the way they danced to iconic hit songs. This might not be the reunion fans wanted, but it was fun to watch!

Shin Ye Eun left audiences absolutely speechless with her breakout role in the hit Netflix series “the glory“. Netizens flocked to social media, offering high praise for her frightening acting skills. But underneath that cold, ruthless character is a girl brimming with heart-fluttering warmth.

On MBC’s “The Manager”, Shin Ye Eun hosts a short but memorable cooking show. She’s a little clumsy and a little impatient, but it’s these quirky charms that put a smile on viewers’ faces. From Shin YeEun’s side comments to her actual cooking skills, these little things add up and help make the Monday blues a little more bearable.

Over the past week, you must have watched the teaser for the third episode of “HyeMiLeeYeChaePa” and the chaotic relationship between ChaeWon and YeNa. Last night, episode three finally aired, and fans were not disappointed!

The two have some synergy built up as former members of FROM THEM. They are comfortable with each other, and that comfort can make for the most hilarious interactions. ChaeWon is tasked with controlling her heart rate, but it goes over the specified limit. She blames it on YeNa’s raucous distractions beside her. When she expresses her frustrations, everyone is taken aback and can’t help but laugh at her adorable outburst. It gets funnier with each new viewing as YeNa’s squeals get louder and louder. We can’t wait for more of this Tom and Jerry duo.

5. Owner of an American style taco shop

This week on SBS'”Hall“, the cast visits Dongducheon, a neighborhood that is reminiscent of the streets of Los Angeles. That all-American vibe doesn’t just come from the look of the stores or the art murals, but also from the people.

As they explore the street, the cast encounters a friendly taco shop owner who drops by for a hug and exudes a funky, free-spirited vibe. The “Running Man” cast jokes about him and even comments that the way he talks, he could totally pass for an LA native. He is a walking ball of sunshine who is absolutely necessary to chase away the Monday blues.

We hope that with this edition of K-Variety Round Up, your Monday will be filled with happiness and strength. Fighting!
