For a long time, idols have shown their fans some of their hobbies outside the music business. Whether it’s cooking, building toys, or even reading books, idols have shared their favorite things to do with their fandoms many times, and we never get tired of it. Not only is it super cute to see idols doing something they enjoy in a more casual way than on stage, but it’s also a way to learn more about them and what they’re like in everyday life.
It started with Vlive and now continues on Weverse Live, YouTube Live, Instagram Live or other platforms, but what if K-Pop idols could have their personal YouTube channel to upload such cute and funny content? Wouldn’t it be so much fun to go to an idol’s channel just to watch them do something they like? Just browse YouTube and find a video of your favorite artist doing a mukbang? So let’s see who are the idols who could have a YouTube channel just to share their hobbies with us!

All ATINYs should already know that SeongHwa is a huge Lego fan and owns a whole collection of them. He often went live to build his lego figure with fans, making it a common and cherished memory for both him and his fans. Even if few fans share this hobby, it’s always fun to spend time with him, watching him do what he loves and just relaxing for a moment.
Xion doesn’t have a specific hobby that he shares with fans, he tries everything. If Xion already had a YouTube channel, it might have been called Xion Test Lab because of all the tests he does, but the fans love it. Rather, it is hit or miss, it brings back fond memories for everyone to talk about again in the future. During these shows, Xion was also getting recommendations from fans on what to make, whether it be for decorations or recipes, he would often come without any instructions and just follow the fans’ ideas.
With his easygoing and calm attitude, KangHyun helped fans fall asleep many times with his live reading session, and it was also a way of recommending many good books to fans who share the same interest as him. It’s a perfect win-win situation. Unfortunately, because he’s serving in the military, he won’t be going live, but we can’t wait for the first live reading he’ll do after he gets back!
HyunJin was praised many times by fans for being a very artistic person with great drawing and painting skills, and he acted accordingly. As many K-Pop fans are also great artists, HyunJin started doing live where she draws with fans and shares her tips and techniques with anyone who is interested. And for those who don’t like art, it’s always a relaxing time to spend with your idol!
Like KangHyun, we might not see Jin very often these days because of the military, but his memorable live Mukbang can’t be forgotten so quickly. Who has never watched any of Jin’s mukbang live? Not only are they very good food content, always inventing new foods, but they were also such funny lives that everyone ended up enjoying it, no matter what made you watch. We sure hope to see more Jin mukbang when he returns!
Jungkook has shared his interest in sports, especially boxing many times now. And since he wanted to share it with fans too, he ended up doing it live while boxing every now and then! These are also good live, can motivate fans to play sports if they want, or for those who are less athletic, it’s just a good occasion to see you doing your daily exercise, and fangirl or fanboy at the same time!
Even though they don’t have a YouTube channel to share these hobbies with us, we’re already happy to see their moments on other platforms for now, and we’ll be looking for the next episode of any of these live!
