Mnet’s Survival Show”PLANET OF BOYS” finally came to an end with the announcement of the last rookie male group. The program invited aspiring idols from all over the world (divided into Korean and global divisions) to compete for a spot in a 9-member boy group that will perform on global stages.
The show is the male equivalent of the survival show “GIRLS PLANET 999”, which had a similar concept but focused on Korean, Japanese, and Chinese trainees. The resulting girl group from the show is Kep1er, who have garnered global attention with their addictive stage performances. This time it was the boys’ turn.
Kpopmap previously wrote an article featuring some of the fan favorite contestants from “Boys Planet”. Kpopmap readers were able to vote for their favorite contestants on the show. Of the 22 candidates contemplated in the matter, 7 of them managed to reach the final lineup.

As the show came to an end, the final group and winners of the show were announced. The group name is ZEROBASEONE (also abbreviated to ZB1) and is scheduled to debut in 2023.

Kim Ji Woong

Nationality: South Korean
Kim Ji Woong is a former member of the boy group INX and is known as an actor for his roles in dramas such as “Kissable Lips” and “Roommates of Poongduck 304”. He will be the oldest member of the group.
Zhang Hao

Nationality: chinese
Zhang Hao became the first foreign trainee to win first place in an Mnet survival program (considering programs such as “To produce“franchise,”I-LAND“, and “GIRLS PLANET 999”).

2. Average Age of the Group
All ZB1 members were born in the 2000s except the oldest member Kim Ji Woong who was born in 1998. The youngest member/maknae is Han YuJin and he was born in 2007. That means the age difference between the oldest and the newest member is 9 years apart. As such, many fans were curious about the group’s average age. As of April 21, 2023, the median age of the cohort is 19.7 years old.
3. Average Height of the Group
Fans also commented on the height of the group members, as most of them are over 180 cm. The tallest member of the group is Park Gunwook at 184cm and the shortest member of the group is Seok Matthew at 170cm. If you take into account the height of all members, the average height of ZB1 members is 179 cm.
4. The interns’ home agencies
Another interesting fact about the group is the way its agency divisions work. 4 of the interns are from Yuehua Entertainment (Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim GyuVin and Han YuJin), 1 is from nest management (Kim Ji Woong), 1st of Studio GL1DE (Sung Han Bin), 1st of MNH Entertainment (Seok Matthew), 1 originally from WAKEONE entertainment (Kim TaeRae), and 1 of Jellyfish Entertainment (Park Gun Wook).
